PEOPLE

Hotel quality services
At Pathways Longueville, our core mission is to deliver holistic, inclusive, and respectful care that truly values the human spirit. Our team, composed of professionals from various sectors including management, care, catering, lifestyle, and administration, is united in this mission. Each member is dedicated to forging meaningful and personal connections, striving to embody our foundational values of Harmony, Respect, and Trust in every interaction.

Although Pathways Longueville has yet to open its doors, we anticipate creating a community where these interactions not only meet but exceed the expectations of our future residents and their families.

As we prepare for our opening, we are inspired by the experiences at our sister facilities, Pathways Sailors Bay, Pathways Killara Gardens and Pathways Cronulla Pines where family members have expressed profound gratitude for the uplifting environment and the compassionate, competent staff who manage challenging tasks with grace. This feedback continues to reinforce our commitment to ensuring that Pathways Longueville will offer an equally supportive and enriching experience for all who join our community.

DEMENTIA FRIENDLY COMMUNITY

Pathways Longueville will be a dementia-friendly community that is safe, compassionate, and supportive for all residents. Unlike traditional aged care settings with separate memory support communities, our entire facility is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of individuals living with varying stages of dementia.

Our care teams are highly skilled in managing complex care issues, creating a nurturing environment that caters to the diverse behavioural and medical needs of each individual. Our approach goes beyond the ‘one-size-fits-all’ model. We provide personalised health, social, emotional, and spiritual care, striving to maintain normalcy while offering continuous opportunities for physical and cognitive engagement.

At Pathways Longueville, the environment is carefully designed to encourage interaction and also provide tranquil spaces for quiet time when needed. Our community layout and daily activities are crafted to simulate normal social lifestyle routines, ensuring that every individual can continue to engage in a fulfilling, socially active life. This approach allows residents to experience a sense of belonging and purpose, truly making Pathways Longueville a place where everyone feels supported and valued.

DINING EXPERIENCE

At Pathways Longueville, our culinary team, led by our Head Chef, Pastry Chef, and Executive Chef, is dedicated to creating exceptional dining experiences that contribute significantly to the physical health and emotional and social wellbeing of our residents.

Collaborating closely with a dietitian, the team ensure every meal is not only appealing and delicious but also nutritionally optimized to meet the diverse health needs of our community. We recognise the vital role that food plays in both nourishing the body and enriching the social and emotional life of our residents. Our menus are thoughtfully co-designed with resident input, reflecting a deep commitment to accommodating their preferences and feedback.

We actively engage our residents through regular food focus groups, surveys, and meetings with both residents and their relatives, ensuring our culinary offerings continue to evolve. The Consumer Advisory Body also contributes valuable insights, helping us maintain a dining experience that is both health-supportive and socially enriching.

Residents have a significant role in shaping these programs, contributing to a truly inclusive environment that respects and incorporates their diverse backgrounds and interests.

To promote physical well-being, our exercise programs feature daily outdoor walks, movement to music, relaxation sessions, and tai chi. Additionally, our in-house cinema not only screens movies but also hosts live entertainment, providing a vibrant venue for social engagement and cultural enrichment.
