CARE AND SERVICES – WELLBEING PROGRAM
Our unique service delivery, along with our well-being programs, ensure all residents experience the highest quality care and support.
The Wellbeing Program
The Pathways Residences Wellbeing program was developed in 2008 to enhance the emotional well-being of our residents. By providing a safe, harmonious environment and by encouraging socialisation, this innovative program enables residents to find happiness and comfort in each day while assisting them to live positively and ‘in the moment’.
The HOPE u CARE Program
Our HOPE u CARE program was developed in 2012 as an innovative model of care, designed to assist residents with symptoms of dementia. The Acronym ‘HOPE’ stands for Holistic, Open-mindedness, Personhood, Empathy and Emotion and ‘u’ for understanding. The program aims to improve the overall quality of life by ensuring care is delivered with compassion, empathy and understanding.
CARE AND SERVICES – ACTIVITIES & AMENITIES
Each Pathways residence features a unique Lifestyle Program designed to enrich the quality of life of residents through a diverse range of activities. Residents are encouraged to help shape the programs which ensure an inclusive range of activities. From high teas and happy hours to sing-alongs, group outings and artistic pursuits, the programs are designed to keep both the mind and body healthy and active.
Exercise programs include daily outdoor walks, movement to music and tai chi sessions. When it’s time to relax our cinemas provide a venue for movies and live entertainment.
Residents also enjoy cooking classes and demonstrations, regular group bus outings to interesting local destinations, and ‘armchair travel’ to altogether more exotic locations. Board games, card games and trivia also provide an opportunity to socialise and relax in the company of new friends.
