Pathways Longueville offers respite care for individuals requiring short-term support following a hospital stay, during recovery or when family carers need time to rest. Respite stays can also provide an opportunity to experience life at Longueville before making a longer-term decision.

Pathways acknowledges that Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) is a personal choice for eligible individuals under NSW legislation. While VAD is not directly provided within our residence, we respect residents’ rights to seek independent advice and support. Our team remains committed to providing compassionate care and dignity at every stage of a resident’s journey.

Our end of life care focuses on comfort, dignity and emotional support for both residents and their loved ones. The clinical team works closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure care aligns with each resident’s wishes and priorities. Our goal is to create a calm and supportive environment during this important stage of life.

During your appointment, an enquiry pack including the following information will be presented:
– Facility overview
– Sample of activities
– Doctors list
– Fee summary table

This assessment is completed by an assessor from the ACAT team. You will require an ACAT assessment to determine if you are eligible for residential care or residential respite care. This assessment along with your pre admission meeting allows us to ascertain the best approach in relation to your individual care needs.
