FARIBA’S COLUMN
Pathways Cronulla Seaside Executive Manager, Fariba Daniel

Hello Everyone,

Spring is here and we are heading towards Summer, I would like to say a big welcome to our new residents and staff members.

We have had a few busy months with our winter program enjoying the bus trips and activities celebrating birthdays and entertainers.

We welcome our new staff members Nisha Registered Nurse, Deepika A.I.N Firoj and Barshat GSO staff. On a sad note we are going to say Goodbye to our Senior RN sister June, we wish her a happy retirement in Sept, her dedication to her job and Pathways has been outstanding over the past 20 years. We will all miss her. Pathways have also appointed Diane Gautier Operation Manager who overlooks all our facilities.

With the New Age Care Standards that came into effect on July 1st we have been educating our staff regarding all standards.

Some of our recent improvement include replacing the carpet within the whole facility which went very smoothly and has given us a fresh look.

We also purchased a new washing machine for our internal laundry.

With Summer on its way we are looking forward to some warmer weather. We look forward to being able to continue with the summer BBQs when the weather warms up and we are able to enjoy the court yard. We must all remember to stay hydrated in the warmer months, There are water coolers in the corridors for you to use along with the residents have their own water jugs which can be refilled at any time.

In relation to safety matter, we are organising fire safety education session for residents and relatives in the near future. The dates of this will be available to you once the date is confirmed.

Please feel free to provide any feedback or suggestions you may have on any matters related to our care / services.

Regards,

Fariba

The purchase of the Apple IPad has been a great success with the residents enjoying obtained information for discussions and trivia. Along with gathering birthday and celebration photos.

We enjoyed celebrating Father’s day with a lovely afternoon tea and cards given to each. Pet therapy / Exercises to music and the weekly entertainers remain very popular with all residents.
